Deep Diver (SDI)

$755.00

Additional student fee/student (max. 3): $565

Includes training plus required PADI/SDI student materials and certification fees.

If you’re already certified and want to extend your comfort zone beyond 60 ft / 18 m, this course builds the judgment and procedures needed for safer deep diving. You’ll learn how depth changes gas use, narcosis risk, and decision-making, then apply disciplined planning and execution in open water. The goal is confident, controlled dives within training limits up to 130 ft / 40 m—without rushing or cutting corners.

Course Structure
  1. Knowledge Development: Self-paced online academics covering deep-diving physics and physiology, gas management, narcosis awareness, equipment considerations, and emergency planning. Most students complete this over several evenings.
  2. Planning & Briefing Session: One-on-one or small-group session to review dive plans, gas calculations, depth limits, contingencies, and site-specific considerations.
  3. Open-Water Training Dives: Two open-water dives conducted at progressively greater depths, focusing on controlled descents, situational awareness, gas monitoring, ascent procedures, and problem management. Typically completed over one to two days, depending on conditions.
Gear & Materials
  • Mask, snorkel, fins
  • BCD, regulator, computer
  • Exposure protection appropriate to conditions (wetsuit or skins as needed)
  • Additional equipment may be recommended for deep dives based on conditions and dive plan

If you don’t already have gear, we’ll help you select properly fitting equipment before training begins.
